E8X/E9X Solid Subframe Raising Bushes
If you want to make your car handle its best then Solid Subframe Bushes are a must. Just like the E92 M3 GTS and the M cars that followed, these bushes solid mount the rear subframe to the chassis and will massively outperform stock rubber and polyurethane options. As every control arm and even the spring force is exerted onto the subframe, upgrading these bushings are an ideal way to make a dramatic improvement to the way your car handles.
These bushes make the back end feel tight, rigid and responsive improving the control and feedback to the driver for a superior driving experience whether cruising around town or pushing your limits on track.
This set of CMP solid subframe bushes are unique and specifically designed for cars that are significantly lowered and have adjustable rear spring perches.
Unlike other subframe bushings, these raise the subframe relative to the chassis altering the suspension geometry and bringing the camber, toe, bump steer, squat & roll centre geometry closer to the originally intended range. This results in reduced body roll, increase rear wheel grip while also straightening out the prop shaft and axles on lowered cars.
As long as you retain stock diff bushes, the CMP solid subframe bushes produce negligible increase in Noise Vibration or Harshness (NVH) compared to stock rubber as suspension and drive line components remain isolated due to their own respective bushes.
It is also recommended that adjustable upper camber arms be installed with these bushing as the resulting geometry change can be significant and desired camber may not be achievable with stock eccentrics alone. CMP has a proportionate bump steer/roll centre correction product for the front suspension on its way to compliment these subframe bushings.
